Covid-19 has altered lives worldwide, it’s kept people at home, it’s changed our social interaction patterns and it’s caused hundreds of thousands of deaths globally. For families, Covid has been the great separator, it’s kept grandparents away from their grandchildren, delayed weddings and limited traditional family get-togethers— Easter, Thanksgiving, Christmas, Eid al-Fitr, Diwali.
Covid has created a brand new set of problems, not the least of which is how to explain its significance and perils to your children...it’s really hard to do! How do you tell a child that they shouldn't go to the park, that Disney World is closed, not to play too closely when interacting with the neighbors children, to wear a mask in public, to always use sanitizer, to constantly wash their hands, and not cough on ANYBODY? Educators and parents have attempted to find fun ways of explaining the dilemma to children, and one of the most effective is relating Covid educational stories, or getting kids to color pages relating to Covid.
With all these factors under consideration we’ve put together a collection of Covid related coloring pages for free download. Print out the pages available on Itsostylish, which are printable in 3 sizes, and encourage your kids to color, while answering any questions they come up with during the process—you might find that you too are interested enough to participate, which would probably help your child even more...grandparents can participate virtually over Facebook or Zoom, and then it’s a family get-together that doesn’t break any rules, which everyone will enjoy.
